Attuned Therapy + Wellness

Attuned Therapy is a brand new therapeutic modality created by Tori Hamilton. It is based upon the premise that in order to heal others, we must first heal ourselves. Tori has developed a training program for therapists to learn Relational Attunement Therapy, which is the modality she uses in psychotherapy sessions. Attuned Therapy is a body-based approach that supports client's physical healing. It uses hands-on healing as a means in which to connect with the brain, nervous system, and cardiovascular system. It is intuitively given by the therapist while the client lays down on a table with their head tilted up. They are fully clothed with shoes off, and are able to wear a light blanket. Lighting is turned down low and soft ambient music is played. In general, no talking is done during this approach, and is focused solely on the client's physical relaxation. After a session, the client will feel relaxed and at peace, and can expect to feel much lighter with less pain and inflammation in their body. Sessions are an hour in length, though can take longer if there are many ailments, or multiple sessions may be required.

An in-person therapy session within the Attuned Therapy + Wellness Kincardine office. For existing clients, we often begin with weekly or biweekly sessions. As therapy progresses, will create a plan to gradually space out sessions in a way that works best for you. Some clients wish to stay on biweekly or monthly. Previous clients are welcome back at any time for additional support.

Couples therapy is provided both online and in-person. Both of our practitioners offer couples therapy, though in a different way. Jodie Ellenor has extensive experience working with couples in Toronto many years ago. She has been trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which offers couples a way to become reconnected and feel very good about themselves and each other. Tori Hamilton offers couples therapy from her realtional attunement model, where she focuses on how we see the world and how the world sees us. When we are able to build inner awareness together as a couple, we are able to understand why we do what we do, and we can move forward together feeling at peace.

Child & youth therapy for ages 6 and up. Tori Hamilton provides talk & play therapy using her relational attunement model. She has extensive experience working with families of all ages, and she has brought a new model to therapy from her work with mothers and infant. Tori Hamilton provides a safe, nurturing space for all children and teens to talk about their lives and feel at ease creating or playing. She is not a registered play therapist, though she brings in many facets of play therapy since she understands that children need to work with their hands while talking in order to feel safe. Teen therapy is mainly talk-based, with many comforts of home within our offices. The clients are always in charge, and confidentiality is always maintained unless there is possibility of injuring themselves or others.
